With the merger between Business Objects and SAP NetWeaver BI, Business Objects is introduced to the world of SAP. This new technology and business merger makes perfect sense within an IM context and brings several interesting opportunities.
Business Objects brings a lot of new technology and functionality to the existing SAP BI suite. Even though, we at Platon believe that the primary benefit of introducing this new reporting platform is aimed at a higher degree of flexibility within the various reporting scenarios. This introduction of Data Services will provide a significant more transparent way of integrating non-SAP data into SAP BI and thereby utilize the SAP BI suite to its full extend. In this way we are getting the best out of two worlds.
